i get busted by isp
i’ve figured out that my isp (Oceanic Time Warner - Road Runner) gives me a max upload speed of ~40KBps. if i try uploading at those speeds, my entire network slows to a crawl.
about half of that is too much for p2p, i lagg horribly when playing games.
i told my gf that she should keep her torrent upload speeds at or below 15KBps, but when she gets impatient she’ll temporarily up it to 20KBps to get connected to as many seeds as possible. (we don’t pay for normal cable tv)
so she forgot to bring it back down to normal upload speeds, i’ve recommended 10 - 15KBps, and my isp turns off my internet. i opened my browser and saw this message

i also saw this message after closing the browser
so let this be a lesson, be a safe pirate and upload at safe speeds (less than half for cable connections)
